National swimmer Haseeb Tariq says that representing Pakistan in the Olympics has been a dream since childhood and my dream is going to come true.
Haseeb Tariq will represent Pakistan in the Tokyo Olympics. He has got a university place in swimming along with female swimmer Bismillah Khan. 10 Pakistani athletes are representing Pakistan in the Tokyo Olympics.
Haseeb Tariq says representing Pakistan at any level is a matter of pride and honor and the Olympics is the biggest sporting event. Going to them is a different feeling, swimming with the dream of the Olympics and now this dream come true. I am very happy.
Haseeb Tariq said that the preparations for the Olympics are going very well, I train for three and a half hours daily, I spend one and a half hours in the gym and two hours in the pool, I try to represent Pakistan in the Olympics in the best possible way. I will try to improve my individual national record in the 100m freestyle.
The national athlete moved to Canada at the age of 17 from where he graduated. Haseeb Tariq from Karachi is currently living in Toronto and came to Pakistan 3 months ago.
Haseeb Tariq said that I come to Pakistan every year, participate in competitions held in Pakistan and also go to competitions abroad, I have been the best swimmer in Pakistan since 2016 and have set 11 national records.
