London: The second ODI between Pakistan and England is underway at the historic Lord's Cricket Ground. Pakistan won the toss and was elected to field against England. England has scored 165 runs for 7 wickets so far.

The match, which started late due to rain, has been reduced by 3 overs, and an innings will now be 47 overs instead of 50.

England's first wicket against Akstan was 9 runs, David Malan was caught by Hassan Ali without scoring a run, his catch was taken by Shadab Khan. The second wicket was 21 runs, Zack Crowley was also dismissed without scoring a run, he was dismissed by Shaheen Afridi. The third wicket went for 118 runs, Phil Salt scored 60 runs and got out on the ball of Saud Shakeel. The fourth wicket fell for 134 runs, James Vance scored 56 runs and got out on the ball of Shadab Khan

The fifth wicket fell to Ben Stokes, who was dismissed for 22 off Hassan Ali. The sixth wicket fell to John Simpson, he scored 17 runs and got out on the ball of Hassan Ali. The seventh wicket fell to Craig Everton's zero, he was caught by Muhammad Rizwan off Hassan Ali.

The final XI includes captain Babar Azam, Imam-ul-Haq, Fakhr Zaman, Mohammad Rizwan, Saud Shakeel, Sohaib Maqsood, Shadab Khan, Fahim Ashraf, Hassan Ali, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and Haris Rauf.


England defeated Pakistan by 9 wickets


It may be recalled that in the first ODI match played in Cardiff on July 8, England had easily defeated Pakistan by 9 wickets. Pakistan, while batting first, had given a target of 142 runs to the rival team. Gained at the loss of one wicket in the the over.


Apart from Shaheen Shah Afridi, no Pakistani bowler was able to take a wicket for Pakistan, while English fast bowler Saqib Mahmood was declared the best player of the match for taking 4 wickets.

Pakistan team did not make any change for the second ODI, England also did not make any change in the team for the second ODI.


Pakistan captain Barabar Azam said that they would try to win the match by taking advantage of the condition, while English captain Stokes said that if they had won the toss, we would have bowled first.
